At its core, Füde is about care—for our bodies, our stories, and our shared humanity. Through plant-based cuisine, artistic expression, and facilitated experiences including breathwork, movement, sound healing, and creative workshops, we create transformative encounters that awaken the senses and celebrate the raw beauty of being fully alive. Since launching in 2020, Füde has hosted over 100 gatherings and been featured in over 50 publications globally. Disgusting. So there I was, accommodating to others' views about my naked grown body before I could even develop my own. Still processing my experience, but from what I observe so far, my biggest challenge was not in being nude socially~ it was simply in navigating my own feelings of being part of a group. I'm always challenged this way at gatherings and perhaps certain aspects of social dynamics were heightened by nudity (the neighbor lacking body space awareness became amplified, for example,) but otherwise I don't think I felt any more anxious being with others in a nude space. In fact, as someone who does experience social anxiety, I was surprised at my grounded calm energy during the 3 hour experience. I appreciated so many of the exercises we did, which opened our collective to feeling very safe and de-sexualized. Prior to going, my family members said~ oh I remember parties like that in the 70s and they turned into orgies~ and ~ that sounds so Eyes Wide Shut. Neither of those references rang true and I felt safe to be any which way I felt during the ceremonial meal, while constantly reminding myself internally to stay in my own vibration. Senses and emotions may be heightened in healing circles and nudity does certainly add another dimension to that since we are not socialized nude. Being on the other side, I love that I can challenge myself and emerge surprised.
